Got a Lifeline?

Because I don’t think I do. The last two days have been filled with a flood of emotions as I’m beginning to see the fragility of life with close friends. One of which suddenly passed away this last Sunday. Micahwas such a beacon of peace when here was working here in Shanghai. A true family man, who crazily loved his wife and his kids, introduced many of us to the finer aspects of poetry and philosophy without letting his feet leave ground. A true renaissance man, I still remember the spiritual meditations we used to have over flapjaacks and maple syrup. The four of us would sit and savour the richness of wisdom from the ancients of past. I loved talking and listening to him. Great wisdom and humour, this world needs more people like you. Mr. Knapp, you are greatly missed.

One of my best friends here was diagnosed with a hole in his heart today. That is, one of the valves in his heart not fully sealing the flow between two chambers. While he seems to be physically well now, he’ll be needing to go into surgery in the future.

Words can’t express the reality of life that we will all pass away, all on God’s terms. He does direct the rising and the falling of people and of nations. But what matters is whether you’ve encountered the living God in a personal relationship in this world that makes a world of a difference in the next. Check out this English or Chinese site for more info. Peace. I’m outta here.
