Letters from a Sage

In light of the recent passing of my friend Micah, I’ve begun to realize how few and far between the poets and philophers are of our days. My friend was one of those rare sages, who shared and spoke and passed down the words and poems from people such as this from the ages.

Contemplation and reflection are lost in our generation, fixated on the quick fix and the now. Not to say there isn’t a place from the far-fetched humour of shows like Jackass (that we also heartily enjoyed watching together), but living in the now without remembering the streams of the past, nor contemplating the roads of the future leaves a shallowness replacing the depth that we truly require for our souls.
