Sports crazy!

If you’ve ever had nothing better to do on a weeknight, you’ll notice on the CCTV and Shanghai television sports channels are great ways to enjoy quality sports programming. Forget ESPN 5billion, whatever sports is popular and important to the country of China, they’ll play it. For instance, can you imagine getting the US Open Tennis live, English Premier League football, replays of last year’s US Open Tennis, World Basketball Championships, Women’s volleyball all in a span of 48 hours? I love it!
Commercials are still infrequent, allowing you to follow your sports stars during the break instead of flashing to a commercial break everytime a whistle blows. That is, until people realize the money that the channels can bring in can be quite profitable..
However, the one thing that needs improvement in all the sports programs that I’ve watched is the commentary. Please someone send us a decent color commentator! Perhaps their goal is to allow viewers a slient watching experience, but please at least have someone saying something insightful during timeouts or breaks!
But something that the sports channels have in common is that there’s always unwanted programming…sigh…snooker’s on…
