Music is the only true international language in the world, possessing the innate ability to invoke, change, create, and destroy. It can carry meanings and messages further and deeper that mere spoken word.

Music’s been a part of my life since I can remember. Sittin’ on the piano bench playin’ away with the Suzuki method, to the present where I’m actually mixing, producing, and arranging songs.

So here are some of my firsts with music:
First piano lesson: 3 years old
First piano concerto: 9 years? 11? I don’t remember but it was 24 pages long
First picked up the guitar: Grade 11
First picked up the djeridoo: 2000 (also the same year I put down the djeridoo)
First LP listened to: The Carpenters Greatest Hits
First electric: Godin LGXT
First LP that I remember listening to: The Carpenters Greatest Hits
First Audio Tape purchased: Guns and Roses – Use Your Illusion I and II
First CD: Moxy Fruvous.
First Gig: Face 2 Face @ ECBC
First DAW: Roland VS890
First realized that I was going to be a rock star: The indifferent response and puzzled faces on the Chinese senior citizens at the Chinese Cultural Festival Celebration when our band played “Enter the Sandman” said it all. Soloing on the guitar with a glass bottle as my slide also helped the cause.
Current Electric: Orville ES-335 Flamed Top Cherry Red, 1991
Musical Influences (in no particular order): The Philosopher Kings, U2, Reuben Morgan, David Tao, Keith Jarrett, Chris Yip,
